This role supports Helmer Scientific, part of Trane Technologies Life Sciences Portfolio. Helmer Scientific designs, integrates, manufactures, markets, and distributes specialized medical and laboratory equipment to clinical and life science customers in over 125 countries, as well as provide after-market service and support.

The second shift Production Leader role will be responsible for leading a team, including Fabrication, Assembly and Materials, and is responsible for ensuring that all shift operations meet safety, quality, and productivity requirements.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as On-Site in Noblesville, IN.

What’s in it for you:

As a Production Supervisor with Trane Technologies, you will use your passion for quality and cost effectiveness in manufacturing to help lead our (Specify line/product) team in Noblesville, IN. You will monitor and coordinate the daily operation of a production shift in a high-volume, lean manufacturing environment, and partner with other department leads/supervisors to achieve team and plant goals.

What you will do:

  • Ensure overall performance of the production or plant team, focusing on safety, quality, cost, time, and output.

  • Supervise materials usage to ensure a smooth production flow.

  • Support ongoing plant programs and goals by identifying opportunities for process improvements.

  • Collaborate with other department supervisors/leaders in Operations, Quality, HR, Finance, Materials, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.

  • Regularly communicate goals and plant-wide initiatives with the leadership team and all members.

  • Engage in training, development, and fostering positive employee relations.

What you will bring:

  • Relative Work Experience: 4-8 years relative work experience, including fabrication equipment knowledge (CO2 or Fiber Laser, CNC punch, press brakes, welding (MIG & TIG), Resistance welding, powder coating, etc.).Demonstrated successful experience leading and directing the work of others.Leadership in off-shift operations preferred.2 or more years of leadership experience required.

  • Education:High school diploma or GED required.Bachelor’s degree in operations field preferred.

  • Certifications / Licenses:May drive a forklift as needed but is not required for job.Employees who drive a forklift are required to hold a valid driver’s license and satisfactorily complete Helmer Fork-Lift Training.

  • Computer Systems / Software:Microsoft Office, Email, and ERP understanding.

  • Specialized Training: Knowledge of FDA and GMP procedures, six sigma, lean manufacturing preferred

  • Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

This role has been designated by the company as Safety Sensitive

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
