Trane Technologies is looking to hire an Maintenance Manager at our Noblesville, Indiana manufacturing facility where we manufacture Helmer Scientific brand medical-grade, temperature controlled storage and processing solutions and services for pharmacy, blood bank, laboratory and research.

Job Summary:

Trane Technologies in Noblesville Indiana is hiring a Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will have a primary focus on predictive and preventive maintenance and will be responsible for supervising employees as well as leading daily production maintenance and coordination activities of work teams. This role will work closely with other team leaders to provide resources, on-going work direction, decision making and problem solving to ensure the safe delivery of a quality product on time to the customer (internal and external). Will also be responsible for achieving safety excellence through promotion of a proactive safety culture, supervision and assignment of maintenance personnel, scheduling preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime, troubleshooting machine break down events, allocating resources and communication with plant management team with uptime expectations.

What you will do:

  • Oversight and supervision of Noblesville Indiana team in all aspects of plant maintenance and facilities.

  • Lead by example in all areas, ensuring standards are maintained with regard to safety, quality, stewardship of the plant, equipment availability and teamwork.

  • Provide leadership and direction of plant maintenance during all routine, predictive, preventative, emergency and outage maintenance activities. Responsible for the planning, scheduling and execution of all maintenance activities.

  • Provide leadership of building facilities

  • Develop, coach and lead team members to ensure a qualified staff is in place to maintain the plant.

  • Determine, develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance strategies for the plant in coordination with the plant leadership team to ensure plant metrics are satisfactorily achieved.

  • Create and maintain a maintenance schedule for all predictive and preventative maintenance activities with the goal of maximizing availability and efficiency.

  • Monitor equipment run hours and rotations to ensure best maintenance practices are followed and integrated into the TPM schedule.

  • Create standard work for all TPM processes and ensure they are being followed by layered standard audits.

  • Develop and sustain MDI for maintenance and facilities processes.

  • Act as the nucleus between Engineering, Safety and Environmental teams to facilitate implementation of NPD, maintenance, and environmental projects.

  • Provide leadership on all matters related to capital spend including but not limited to identifying cost savings opportunities.

  • Coordinate and direct supervision of all subcontractors to ensure safety, cost control and quality assurance.

  • Oversee the initial stocking and organization of maintenance tools and equipment. This includes tools, materials, consumables and spare parts inventory, etc.

  • Perform routine audits of spare parts and materials in accordance with plant procedures.

  • Drive any other project as assigned by the plant manager.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Engineering preferred; 15+ years of manufacturing maintenance required in lieu of degree.

  • Demonstrated experience creating/implementing a predictive and preventative maintenance model

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Knowledge of operations and maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience leading facilities roles preferred

  • Excellent verbal communication skills in dealing with all levels of organization.

  • Understanding of Lean Principles and/or Six Sigma application and usage.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $110,000 - $140,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
