Summary You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the PERSONNEL INDUSTRIAL AND INFORMATION SECURITY PROGRAM (83320) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC. Responsibilities You will attend the Naval Security Manager's Course within 1 year of appointment to the position and you will obtain and maintain the Security Fundamentals Professional SPeD Certification within 2 years of appointment to the position. You will have advanced knowledge in Personnel Security leading a team of Personnel Security Specialists ensuring access to classified information is limited to appropriately cleared personnel with a valid need-to-know. You will manage the processing, verification, and approval of SAAR-N forms via the SWAT Tool. You will obtain and maintain a Defense Information for Security (DISS) account, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) account, Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) System account, and an NP2 Portal account. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications NO-04 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Initiate, review, submit and distinguish the difference in requirements for Tier 1,2,3,4,& 5 background investigations to ensure access to classified information is limited to appropriately cleared personnel. NO-05 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a team of Personnel Security Specialists and managing NBIS background investigative requests, onboarding requirements for all new hires, and managing the scheduling for badging, and CAC appointments with Access Control. Additional Information This position is in the Science & Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) Human Resource Management System pay band for Department of Defense laboratories. The pay schedule and pay band for all Administrative Specialist/Professional Positions will be NO-1/2/3/4/5/6. Recruitment/Relocation incentive is not authorized.
