Job Description: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Nicholasville, KY Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Position Overview: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality assurance program at our plant. In this role, you will supervise the quality control lead and technicians, ensuring that inspection, laboratory testing, statistical process control, and auditing (both internal and third-party) are performed effectively. You will implement, maintain, and refine the plant's quality management system to enhance business operations and meet customer requirements and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage the quality assurance program for the plant.
Supervise and support the quality control lead and technicians.
Oversee inspection, laboratory testing, statistical process control, and auditing processes.
Implement, maintain, and modify the plant's quality management system as needed.
Collaborate with production and warehouse leadership to address quality-related issues and assist in the startup of new products and processes.
Troubleshoot technical problems related to quality assurance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred.
At least five years of experience in a quality assurance leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in blow molding manufacturing and product safety is required.
Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), IT systems, and problem-solving techniques.
Familiarity with ISO 9000/QS 9000 quality systems is essential.

Responsibilities
• Design, implement and direct the quality assurance program for the plant.
• Establish/maintain quality program, including but not limited to: Plant management
responsibility, Document and data control, Control of customer supplied materials
and nonconforming product/material, Product identification and traceability,
Inspecting/testing procedures and control of related equipment, Corrective and
preventive actions, Internal quality audits (housekeeping, GMP, etc.)
• Establish/monitor/maintain statistical process control (SPC) programs.
• Facilitate with department managers internal auditing and 3rd party auditing related
to GMP / AIB / HAACP / etc.
• Facilitate complaint program (KMS)
• Advise and instruct local managers in utilization of SPC data (quality and routine
auditing of product by production personnel).
• Provide consistent ongoing analysis of process capability (CPK) statistics.
• Determine, recommend, and assist in continuous improvement programs to meet
plant/division quality objective and advise the plant manager of appropriate action
plans.
• Suggest improvements in procedures and techniques to improve product and
customer acceptance.
• Establish/monitor and control hold for inspection (HFI) procedures to ensure
nonconforming materials do not
• Coordinate quality activities with other division/plant personnel seeking mutual
agreement on problems involving coordination.
