Position Description
The Dual Rate Guest Room Attendant (primary position) will be responsible for ensuring clean and orderly guest rooms while providing top quality customer service. The Dual Rate Housekeeping Floor Supervisor (secondary position) oversees and assists with daily responsibilities of the Housekeeping front line personnel for the hotel. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least two (2) years of Hotel Housekeeping or related experience preferred.
Must possess basic mathematical skills necessary for conducting inventories and counting linens.
Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
Must possess excellent communication skills to deal effectively with customers and employees.
Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Possess proven leadership ability to provide general guidelines to subordinate personnel and direction toward short-term developmental goals.
Must perform duties while utilizing discretion and respecting the privacy of guests.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
Required to stand and walk 90% of the time while servicing rooms.
Requires bending, lifting and carrying supplies up to fifty (50) pounds 80% of the time. With assistance, required to push or pull carts and/or furniture weighing several hundred pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Must work with cleaning chemicals, and must be able to properly dilute, use and insure their safety, as well as others who encounter the chemicals.
Must be able to reach, bend, squat, reach, and climb step ladders to accurately clean and inspect facilities.
Adequate manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
Must be able to effectively understand and communicate to patrons and employees.
Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
Other:
Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Nation Key license.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
