CNC MACHINIST ROLE AVAILABLE WITH AEROTEK

Job Opportunity: CNC Machinist – Niagara Falls, NY

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Niagara Falls, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines (Okuma and Haas, “G” code) to create precision workpieces used in the production of heat transfer products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machines (Okuma and Haas) to cut and shape precision workpieces from solid metal blocks.

  • Read and interpret blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications, tooling instructions, and operational sequences.

  • Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on CNC machines.

  • Set feeds, speeds, and depth of cut, and control the position of the tool and workpiece in relation to each other.

  • Set up fixtures or feeding devices, start machines, and feed tools to workpieces as required.

  • Direct coolant or cutting oil flow to ensure optimal machine operation.

  • Visually and audibly monitor machine operations to detect issues like dull tools or excessive vibration, and take corrective action when needed.

  • Operate various small equipment to complete workpieces.

  • Assist and train less experienced CNC Machinists with machine setup procedures.

  • Ensure safe operation of all CNC machinery by using safety devices and tools.

  • Inspect finished products to ensure conformance to blueprint and job order specifications.

  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation.

  • Perform minor machine maintenance as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, making recommendations for process improvements.

  • Provide feedback to management on potential issues or areas of improvement.

  • Participate in cross-training throughout the facility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 years of CNC machining experience and training (5 years preferred).

  • Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools for precise measurements.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and work to set tolerances.

  • Experience with CNC Mills and programming is preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.

  • Manual machining experience is a plus.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and apply logical conclusions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic mathematical skills for precision work.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00
