Project Management Institute QA Automation Engineer in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania

Perform QA & Automation activities in accordance with assigned projects; identify and propose opportunities for improvement, along with recommended implementation plans; follow existing quality assurance & automation procedures, options and documentation for upgrades and new product releases prior to dissemination; develop automation test code and execute functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing; report on outcomes and identify any trends or needs for future organization testing and automation efforts; ensure all QA and automation work is consistent with established standards and best practices; create test plans and test scenarios required by the organization, including boundary conditions, unexpected conditions, web browser/hardware/software compatibility, performance and scalability, error handling, backend data flow and systems, web services, vendor integrations, and environment readiness; partner with other team members to identify how to implement test plans and scenarios in their own testing efforts; consult with business owners and key stakeholders on critical testing issues. Estimate testing effort for project work and provide regular updates; execute tests, compile results and share information with key stakeholders on testing success, as well as additional or new testing; advocate QA and Community best practices and standards at the team level; promote the sharing of knowledge, tips, and techniques around testing and automation with internal and external customers; advise and collaborate with QA management and testers; and partner with development and QA contractors to ensure quality and productivity of work being performed by the contractors.

 

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, IT, or a related field, and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation, to include: five year's experience in QA and automation; five year's experience with Regression, Integration, and UA testing; five year's experience utilizing cloud-based testing tools; five year's experience automating webservice APIs, including REST and SOAP; and four year's experience writing automation and testing in cloud-based environments. Employee may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training. Experience may have been gained concurrently.
