Peninsula Montessori Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Director with Montessori experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality education to young children and fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities: - Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate Montessori curriculum for children ages 1-6 years. - Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and independent learning. - Observe and assess each child's progress and provide individualized support and guidance. - Foster a love of learning through hands-on activities, creative play, and interactive lessons. - Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to support each child's development and well-being. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's development and learning progress. - Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and Montessori methodologies. - Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations and standards for early childhood education. Qualifications: - Montessori certification (AMS, AMI, or equivalent) is highly preferred. - EEC director certification is required. - Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. - Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
