Actalent Project Manager in Newport News, Virginia

Overview:

We are seeking to hire a Project Manager for a hybrid position to support our client in Newport News, VA. This Project Manager will support Alteration Integration Team (AIT) & Submarine Fleet Support program procurement efforts for material & vendor services.

Description:

  • Communicate at the high level to Gov’t/Program/Project/ and other stakeholders on the status on of material and vendor services.

  • Must be an independent problem solver.

  • Track and Articulate Procurement Scopes, BOE’s, Procurement office sourcing through receiving.

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree

  • 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Be familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
