Maintenance Technician

Pay: $22-25 per hour

Location: Newport

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team at a prominent local company. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, support equipment, and facilities. Responsibilities:

• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and understanding of NFPA70e electrical safety rules

• Diagnose and repair or replace electrical components, including motors of various sizes and voltages (24V-480VAC)

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and pneumatic components.

• Record and report parts used, parts needed, and communicate through daily logs or purchase requests

• Work with team to address any issues

• Troubleshoot, problem-solve, and document maintenance issues

• Collaborate with team members to develop efficient methodologies and solve complex tasks

Skills Required:

• Associate degree in a related field or current Journeyman Electrical License

• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance technician experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (woodworking industry experience is a plus)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and sketches

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities

• A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Positive attitude with a solid work ethic and attention to detail
