THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for creating and executing an enterprise level Health and Safety program for all restaurant locations and RSCs. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining metrics on program compliance, developing a training curriculum, which would focus on maintaining regulatory compliance, addressing health and safety gaps, as well as serving a subject matter expert on changing OSHA regulations at the state and federal level.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ensure the organization is following all State, Federal and local safety and environmental regulations and maintain and update policies and recordkeeping requirements.

  • Serve as primary contact for all related regulatory and compliance interactions globally.

  • Support hazardous waste management and disposal process.

  • Drive completion and compliance with the restaurant safety meeting process.

  • Work with key stakeholders to conduct appropriate risk assessments on all equipment to assess compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to minimize or eliminate employee and company risk.

  • Partner with field leadership to support a safety culture and help restaurants operate in compliance with company and government regulations.

  • Conduct regular restaurant visits to verify policies and procedures are effective and implemented and assess areas for future improvement.

  • Lead company EHS Committee.

  • Collect and analyze data to identify safety trends and partner cross functionally to develop relevant and realistic corrective actions and processes.

  • Provide expert advice and support on environmental health and safety matters across restaurants, regions, and corporate initiatives.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on OSHA program updates while working closely with compliance, legal, risk and restaurant operations functions.

  • Cultivate a culture of safety awareness and support among team members, leaders, and stakeholders

  • Obtain a strong understanding of restaurant operations to be able to relate and communicate effectively with core audience.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university.

  • 5+ years Managing a Health and Safety Program (Restaurant experience preferred).

  • OSHA 30 Hour Course (required).

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of industry standards focused on multi-unit/multi-jurisdictional OSHA safety programs with specified experience in the retail or restaurant environment.

  • Ability to administer program through partnerships and direct supervision and maintain OSHA standards in a restaurant and home office environment.

  • Proficient in a variety of technology including MS Office, Smartsheet, Power BI

  • Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 40%

PAY TRANSPARENCY

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $111,000.00–$154,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
