Supervising the serving staff to ensure that they provide high-quality service to customers Helping hosts manage reservations and respond to customer inquiries, either in person or on the phone Training hosts, servers and other restaurant staff on restaurant processes and on how to greet customers and provide excellent customer service Greeting customers as they enter the restaurant and providing them with assistance if the serving staff are busy Organizing and implementing work schedules for front-of-house employees Ensuring all employees follow the applicable health and safety rules and regulations when handling food and serving customers Making sure that the restaurant remains profitable by reviewing financial statements on a regular basis Managing suppliers, inventory and cash registers Working with other managers to recruit and hire new servers, hosts and other food service employees
