SUMMARY
Responsible for the minor setup adjustments, quality checks and operation of envelope machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform minor setup on machines in a timely manner. Clean machine prior to setups.
Make minor adjustments/ corrections to ensure dimensions and quality of piece; monitor production.
Perform cutting operations; make necessary minor adjustments.
Perform folder operations and operate folder.
Perform quality checks per work instructions.
Hand-gather finished work and pack as necessary.
Perform other department operations as required.
Keep immediate work area neat and orderly.
Comply with company rules and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.
Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
COMPETENCIES
Thorough understanding of envelope manufacturing equipment setup and operation.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor machine repairs.
Ability to apply written instructions to machine operation and product quality.
Good math skills
Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to the workstation
Demonstrates a positive safety attitude
