SENIOR CATERING Kitchen Manager in Newberry, South Carolina

  1. Has a minimum of three years experience in food operations at senior manager level; Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day activities.
  2. Must possess certification as ServSafe Manager; or similar nationally recognized course.
  3. Must be able to read, write and be fluent in English.
  4. Must possess a valid S.C. drivers license.
  5. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  6. Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

  1. Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the facility.
  2. Responsible for ensuring all Federal and State food operation requirements are adhered to, as mandated through the main office.
  3. Will ensure they always operate within the company policy and procedures during the daily operation of the facility.
  4. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees through training, maintenance of equipment, vehicles and property.
  5. Will be proactive in areas of cost management, labor, utilities, food maintenance, furniture, fixtures and equipment issues.
  6. Ensure the kitchen is always ready for DHEC inspection. Responsible for correcting any violations as indicated by follow-up inspection date.

Goods are checked for order quantity, damage, specified item.

Will be responsible for monthly inventory as required by main office. Submit monthly inventory to Deputy Director by 6^th^ of month.

Ensure that all equipment is clean and kept in working order through personal inspection.

Will ensure recipes, order guides are kept up to date and orders placed with vendors per schedule. Discrepancies to be notified to main office.

With Assistant Manager will ensure all vans are checked to ensure they are maintained in safe working order. Will complete monthly mileage logs for main office.

On a monthly basis, will balance check book and forward petty cash request form, along with receipts to the main office.

Will maintain and secure checkbook and food sales.

Will be responsible for hiring and recommending termination to main office.

Provide orientation of company rules, policies and procedures and oversee training of new employees.

Will complete employee evaluations as required; and offer recommendations to the employee if necessary.

Will conduct safety meetings as scheduled through the main office.

Will maintain Annual and Sick leave logs of all employees.

Will schedule personal leave approved through main office with Executive Director.

When necessary, will work outside normal hours of operation.

Will maintain a professional attitude with employees and clients.
