Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various aspects of our accounting and reporting processes, providing comprehensive support to our finance department. The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting including SOX and SEC financial reporting and be motivated to excel and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Conduct period-end financial closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.

  • Manage the general accounting across multiple business units including inventory, payroll, fixed assets, accruals and intercompany across multiple business units.

  • Assist in the coordination and support of internal and external audits.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements including SOX.

  • Assist with ad hoc finance and accounting projects including business acquisitions.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field. MS preferred.

  • CPA preferred. Public accounting experience a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and SEC financial reporting requirements.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with solutions-oriented mindset

  • Motivated to excel; demonstrates high potential for growth and development

  • Strong work ethic with high attention to detail

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments and businesses.

  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organization skills; able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Position is primarily sedentary in nature and requires prolonged standing and sitting throughout the day.
