Aerotek Is Hiring Production Associate In Newark NY!

Location : Newark, NY

Pay Range : $17 - $18 per hour

Job Description:

As a Production Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks to assemble electronic components, including soldering, cable assembly, machine operation, and more. You'll work with minimal supervision to meet production schedules efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hand Soldering: Solder wires to electrical connectors and PCBs.

  • Electromechanical Assembly: Assemble components and sub-assemblies.

  • Assembly Instructions: Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Documentation: Complete production documentation accurately.

  • Machine Operation: Operate machinery and hand tools.

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect work for quality and report issues.

  • Collaboration: Work with team members to meet production targets.

  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in hand soldering and assembly processes.

  • Experience: Familiar with general assembly and hand tools.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and blueprints precisely.

  • Communication Skills: Understand written and verbal instructions.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience: Entry-level; prior experience in electronics or production is a plus. Training provided.

Additional Skills (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT).

  • Familiarity with electromechanical assembly.

  • Knowledge of cleanroom procedures.

  • Previous PCB assembly or soldering experience.

Shift Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 2:30 pm - 1:00 am
