Hiring Immediately: CDL Driver
The Arc Wayne of Newark, NY, a Human Services Agency, is seeking to hire a full-time or part time CDL Class B Driver for our Transportation Department, to transport the adult individuals we support with developmental disabilities to day programs.

CDL Drivers earn a starting wage of $17.68/hr. We also offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with company match, paid holidays, and paid sick and vacation time for full-time employees.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A CDL DRIVER
In this role, you will provide support to the adult individuals with developmental disabilities when transporting them to their day programs. This may include assisting them with entering and exiting the bus and assisting them with their medical support equipment, i.e. walkers and wheelchairs. While supporting people with disabilities, you learn their individual differences in ability, personality, and interests. It is rewarding to see your work as a Bus Driver pay off when the people we support achieve their goals.
CDL Driver QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least one year of experience driving vehicles with gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 26,000 lbs. or over required.
Valid New York State Commercial Driver's License, CDL
Ability to pass a background and reference check
Ability to physically assist individuals who use wheelchairs and/or walkers
Hours: Monday through Friday. Varies based on program needs. No Weekends
