A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A BAKE SHOP, CAFE & DELI SHIFT LEADER

As our Bake Shop, Cafe & Deli Shift Leader, you will assist in the management of the kitchen, customer service functions and all the operational needs of the eatery. You will ensure that the highest quality of baked goods and deli offerings are produced daily through directing, managing and leading of the associates, while providing an excellent level of customer service and a great experience for each one of our customers and visitors. You will also help build up our reputation as the bakery, cafe and deli of choice in town.

As our Bake Shop, Cafe & Deli Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the training and performance of all deli and bake shop associates, training them in all of our workplace policies and safety procedures, according to Agency and Health Department regulations. You will learn all menu items and manner of preparation, and will work closely with the Deli/Cafe Manager to address all customers' concerns. You may also assist the Deli/Cafe Manager with menu and pricing, placing/receiving orders, overseeing inventory control, and the development of plans for production cost and waste reduction; other tasks as requested by management.

Work Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday 7 am to 3pm, Thursday 11 am to 7 pm, Friday and Saturday 7 am to 3 pm

QUALIFICATIONS

• We prefer you to have a High School Diploma or GED

• At least 3 years of restaurant kitchen experience

• You must be able to work standing for the entire shift

• Strong customer service skills and must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Flexibility to work in both customer service and/or kitchen areas as needed, as well as with your schedule.

• Previous experience with the face to face customer experience in a cafe

• Knife skills, operating kitchen equipment and computer skills preferred
