Prudential Financial is a life insurance & asset management industry leader that provides innovative solutions to a variety of markets. This positions primary focus is Asset Adequacy Testing (AAT) production for Individual Life Insurance and Long Term Care within Global Valuation ALM Projections team within the Finance and Actuarial Organization. In this role, the associate will have the opportunity to develop a blend of technical and business knowledge.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Primary focus is STAT ALM production for Individual Life Insurance and Long Term Care AAT, which includes baseline testing, sensitivities testing, stress testing and required capital calculation. Perform ALM modeling in GGY AXIS and input database staging in SQL Management studio. The associate will develop a strong understanding of ALM modeling as well as projection output analysis and identify drivers of results.
Test and validate modeling changes, ensure reasonability of overall model results, and comply with model governance, controls, and documentation policies/procedures.
Support preparing Appointed Actuarys memoranda, result exhibits, regulatory reporting, and other supplements.
Engage in projects to support business initiatives, new products, and modeling/methodology improvements.
Provide actuarial analysis for ad hoc requests involving regulatory requirements.
What youll need:
Actuarial, ALM and/or investment experience preferably in an insurance company context.
Strong technical skills with programming experience in SQL and Python. Experience in AXIS or similar actuarial modeling platform a plus.
Strong project management skills with attention to details. Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute across multiple work efforts simultaneously to meet production related items for STAT reporting.
Strong verbal & written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical challenges & writing documentation.
Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance or a related field.
Primary location for position is in the Newark, NJ or Hartford, CT office, but open to remote as well.
Actuarial exams are required. ASA or close to ASA preferred.

The salary range for this role is from $97,300.00 to $144,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
