Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Non-Profit Staff Accountant based in Newark, New Jersey. This role is within a non-profit organization where you will be tasked with a variety of accounting responsibilities, including the processing of accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently handle and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Maintain the general ledger and make necessary adjustments.

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process.

• Assist with financial reporting

• Assist with month end and yearly closings

• Assist with financial statement preparation

• Assist with financial audits

•Ad hoc fiscal projects

Requirements

• 3 + years as a staff accountant

• Non-Profit is a huge plus

• Mastery of General Ledger management

• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

•Strong ERP and Excel skills

• Experience with Oracle software

• Proficiency in QuickBooks

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
