Prudentials Corporate Function Communications team is looking for an internal communications professional who specializes in bringing internal events to life. From large-scale town halls to smaller, virtual events, you will have a critical role in ensuring that our events are creative, engaging and successfully meet the needs of stakeholders. We are seeking someone with strong project management, event coordination and internal communication experience. You will control the entire life cycle of an event from strategy, planning and management of the day of experience.
In this unique role, you will also have the opportunity to support a variety of employee engagement campaigns and internal communications activities, advising on appropriate communication and engagement techniques and proactively identifying communications opportunities. In addition, you may also write, edit, produce, and distribute internal communications content.
Responsibilities
Support all cross-function events (an average of 1 4 events per month), such as town halls and leader events, and proactively identify ways to improve participation and engagement.
Work closely with corporate function communication leaders to determine an event's needs and requirements, and create detailed project plans that outline tasks, timelines, and resources.
Coordinate with strategists, Event Services, Creative Services and others to ensure events are completed on budget and on time.
Support a variety of internal communication activities, under the direction of the vice president, cross-function communications.
Qualifications
5-7 years of professional experience, demonstrating the ability to tell memorable stories through events and internal communications.
The ability to write well, quickly and accurately. Your writing captures the interest of employees and translates sophisticated ideas into engaging content that resonates with colleagues.
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
Elite attention to detail with the ability to oversee multiple events at a time.
Practical and technical knowledge of communication channels and content production.
Resilience and flexibility; you're a self-starter who can handle unclear and sometimes conflicting direction.
Enthusiastic, highly self-motivated, proactive and able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and changing environment.
Strong skills in Microsoft Suite: Word, Teams, SharePoint file-sharing, PowerPoint, and occasional Excel.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the vice president, corporate functions communications.
Hybrid role requires approximately 8 days monthly travel to Newark, NJ. This travel is considered commuting and therefore is non-reimbursable. Prudential also reserves the right to adapt these expectations based on business needs and the changing requirements of the role.
