Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and maintains the AP Supplier database, including entering and updating vendor information and providing quality control checks of all vendor adds and changes.

  • Manages new AP Supplier accounts: collects banking details, assigs1099 codes, and adds check req sites.

  • Ensures requests to AP Supplier and AP ACH mailboxes are answered daily.

  • Trains and oversees Principal Accountant in initiative to convert supplier file payment methods form checks to ACH.

  • Leads initiative to solicit ACH banking details form suppliers

  • Manages vendor piece of converting suppliers to ePayables when vendor agrees to take payments via ePayables program

  • Resolves ACH rejections.

  • Runs 1099 exception reports throughout year and devises plan to address errors at the supplier level and invoice level.

  • Runs 1099 data for year-end filing. Ensures that vendor reporting records are up to date and 1099 utility jobs have been run to clear remaining errors.

  • Perform additional supplier database maintenance duties as need. .

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related area.

  • Five (5) years of applied accounting experience required, preferably in Accounts Payable. .

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be proficient in Oracle Accounts Payable, All Microsoft Office products (especially MS Excel), and have excellent written and verbal skills.
