Your Team & Role
As an Infrastructure Developer, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment while contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of our containerized infrastructure solutions.
We are seeking a motivated Infrastructure Developer to join our dynamic Container Platform Engineering Team. This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in infrastructure development, containers, container orchestration platforms (such as Kubernetes and AWS ECS), infrastructure automation using Terraform and CloudFormation, Python FastAPI development, and AWS engineering.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of APIs using Python FastAPI to support automation, orchestration, and management of container platforms.
Participate in building and managing container environments on Kubernetes and AWS ECS under the guidance of senior team members.
Support the implementation of infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation to automate cloud resource provisioning and management tasks.
Contribute to AWS engineering tasks, including cloud architecture design, implementation support, and best practices adherence.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to containerized environments, APIs, and infrastructure configurations.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in containerization, automation, and cloud computing.
Document system configurations, processes, and solutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
1-3 years of experience in infrastructure development, containers, and cloud technologies.
Basic knowledge of developing APIs using Python, with exposure to FastAPI or similar frameworks.
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and AWS ECS concepts.
Exposure to infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is a plus.
Interest in AWS engineering practices and cloud services.
Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Relevant certifications or coursework in cloud computing, containerization, or infrastructure automation are effective.
Knowledge/Understanding of the following:
o Application Programming Interfaces (API): Consumption & Development
o Infrastructure & Cloud Security practices including DevSecOps
o Dev Ops Tools & Practices: awareness, understanding of DevOps automation tools, practices & capabilities (continuous integration & continuous delivery)
o Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Development and Design Fundamentals including SDLC and coding standards
o Cloud Computing: Understanding and knowledge (of 1 or more): AWS, Azure or GCP
o Cloud service consumption
o Disaster Recovery and High Availability
Preferred Qualifications
o Financial/Insurance industry experience is a plus, not a must

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $83,000.00 to $123,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
