The Prudential Insurance Company of America Director, Tech Lead in Newark, New Jersey

Director, Tech Lead (The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ): Design the overall technological architecture to integrate multiple internal and external systems with Workday HRIS/HCMS and rest of HR Tech ecosystem (Talent Marketplace, Data lake, etc.). Foster an Agile environment: Collaborate with product management, business stakeholders, and fellow technologists to design, develop and deliver frictionless user experiences and provide technical guidance and be a technical mentor to SCRUM team. Lead the pre-sprint technical design and grooming activities. Drive user story analysis, elaboration, and design. Collaborate with global technology partners, architects, chief product owner, product owners and team members to drive outcomes. Guide teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment, and help to interpret technology strategy into consumable units of work deployed to the teams. Identify processes creating tech debt and re-engineer them by building automation to reduce cost and execution time. Work closely with outsourced/3rd-party AMS support providers and hold them accountable excellent service delivery. Enable change, help accelerate innovation and ensure customer (employee experience) delight. Research Workday integrated applications and tools in response to business needs. Employ industry best practices to deliver world class solutions. Ensure developed solutions remain compliant with all applicable Prudential standards. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to Prudential.Telecommuting permitted up to 100%. Candidate may work and reside anywhere in the U.S.Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience, OR a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), and 5 years of related work experience.Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in working with Workday technologies including Tech-Stack, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Workday Studio, and Workday Report Writer.Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience in each of the following:•Integrating various SaaS and custom designed applications with the vendor products including, ERP; and•Web Services and APIs, including WSDL, SOAP, REST and WS standards.Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
