Summary:
Reporting to the CIO, the Chief Technology Officer, I&O, is responsible for setting the direction for Information Technology through leadership, project execution, strategic planning, communication, and collaboration. As a member of the senior IT team, the CTO partners with internal operations clients and provides leadership in developing an information technology strategy to improve service management and drive operational effectiveness.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This leader is responsible for positioning and enabling vision for the company’s technology roadmap through new and proven technologies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong customer service mentality coupled with a deep understanding of technology implementation and business process design.
Principal Accountabilities:
Technology Alignment- Communicate a technology vision informed by the organization's strategic goals. Develop strategies to address the organization's technology needs in system acquisition, development and integration to meet business demands. Leads process to establish IT priorities and incorporate them into an actionable plan.
Leadership– Be a key leader in continued development of effective and efficient delivery of IT services for internal and external clients by improving customer satisfaction and fostering an upward trend in system reliability. Exemplified with irreproachable standards of ethics and highest level of integrityArchitecture- Develops and maintains an appropriate organization structure capable of supporting the information needs through appropriate cost-effective information technology. Transforms existing IT business processes for increased efficiencies. Has a deep understanding of leading-edge engineering trends as they pertain to: networking, telecommunication, security and end-use computing.
Team Development- Provide leadership on organizational development including developing leaders of the organization, allocating appropriate time to build bench strength around the foundation in place and instilling a top talent culture.
Operational Excellence- Able to set appropriate technological metrics to quantify and track systems performance, and to ensure maximum efficiency and utilization of all available product and resources with maximum availability.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Services or related field required
10+ years of Information Technology experience required; 15+ years of Information Technology strongly preferred
8+ years of demonstrated successful and progressive experience in managing IT professional staff, including five (5) years of leadership experience managing major areas within IT such as IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications and operations required.
Must possess AWS, CISSP, CCSP and other professional certification including Cisco and Microsoft.
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced knowledge of information, communication, cybersecurity, mobile, Voice, Cloud and Application Development technologies.
Successful track record in design of hardware and software solutions to meet the current and future needs of a complex organization.
Extensive experience in the areas of strategic planning, business planning, data analysis, data reporting, and statistical process control.
Extensive knowledge of industry trends related to information systems and related technology, including knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to areas supervised such as PCI ISO, NIST, HIPAA, eDiscovery and Cybersecurity.
Exceptional verbal/written communications skills.
Advanced organizational skills, with the ability to create, redesign and/or integrate complex organizational systems.
Executive experience, preferably in a high-performance team environment.
Experience in overseeing IT financial/budgeting planning and management.
Experience navigating through the politics of a large multi-tiered, multi-agency public sector organization or similar private sector company.
Ability to adapt to the constant shifting needs and demands of the business departments.
Experience in service-oriented industries.
