Job Overview:
Responsible for working with all Nursing Directors, Administrative Coordinators, and others to ensure appropriate staffing for nursing units. Responsible for maintaining various information used for staffing and budgetary reasons as directed by ANSOS Coordinator, Director of Finance - PCS, and Vice President and Asst. Vice Presidents PCS. Responsible for completing NJ Staffing Reports, distributing to units and summaries as directed.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma
Ability to work independently, relates well with others, and be flexible
Effectively communicate both verbally and orally
Successful completion of all orientation and on going education/competency programs
Must have basic computer skills; ability to learn and effectively use ANSOS scheduling software, Time & Attendance program and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) or equivalent; operate fax, copy machine, telephone, and other office products
Scheduling Requirements:
Shift- 3:00pm- 11:00pm
Evening with every other weekend/holidays
Part Time
Essential Functions:
Attempts to schedule additional staff as indicated by requests and information from Nursing Directors or designees to cover sick calls, emergencies, disabilities, etc
Collaborates with Nursing Director(s) or designee(s) to maintain weekly time sheets. Reviews and inputs all daily staffing report changes into ANSOS. Documents all sick, absent, and cancellation calls and notifies the appropriate unit(s)
Collects current census and staffing information from all units at 7 am, 1 pm, 4 pm, and 9 pm, or as required. Posts current staffing report in supervisors office
Completes NJ Staff Reporting worksheets and distributes to units. Inserts shift summary entry to summary report.
Distributes payroll check/pay advices on payday and as requested during published pay times
Identifies unit needs using ANSOS Weekly Staffing Reports, staffing guidelines, and information from Nursing Directors, Admin Coordinators or designee(s)
Maintains communication with Nursing Directors and designees regarding availability and use of staff among patient care units.
Maintains names, addresses, and telephone numbers of nursing department employees and staffing data in ANSOS Staffing and Scheduling system
Maintains restraint log book and database as requested/required
Verifies account information for PYXIS charges and forwards information to IT Department for billing
Performs all other duties as requested
