Panasonic North America Account Manager - Federal Professional Services in Newark, New Jersey

Overview

This role will serve as the Professional Services subject matter expert and sales person for the Federal market. The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a plan to collaboratively drive incremental sales of professional services within their market.

What You Get to Do:

Internal Enablement / Selling

  • Communicate, train, and coach the ProServices Value Proposition to the Federal market

  • Develop plan of action with NSMs and individual sellers within the Federal market

  • Serve as Professional Services Subject Matter Expert for the Federal market

  • Develop relationships, build sales strategies, and conduct trainings with key channel partners as necessary to support quota objective

  • Consistently hit KPIs in support of meeting quota objective

External Prospecting / Selling

  • Communicate the ProServices value proposition through engaging presentations and conversational meetings while developing/facilitating customer relationships and creating opportunities within the Federal market.

  • Active participation in the entirety of the sales pipeline process for key ProServices deals

  • Through continual self-education and industry participation be knowledgeable of your assigned vertical’s trends and drivers

  • Consistently hit KPIs in support of meeting quota objective

Planning / Administration

  • Consistently review & assess progress toward meeting 100% of quota objective on a quarterly basis

  • Prepare quarterly business plans for Federal market and strategic account/project plans as necessary

  • Provides timely, accurate and complete sales reports, forecasts, and travel expenses

  • Establishes, communicates, and holds direct and matrix team accountability for contract terms, program budgets, schedules, operational activities and performance metrics to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications – please cover the following areas:

Scope :

This is an individual contribution role responsible for a specific revenue amount within the Federal market. Matrix collaboration required between Vertical Marketing, Product Marketing, Vertical Sales, Product Management, Service Administration and Project Management. Success of this role requires being a PCONA Professional Services subject matter expert as such, a high degree of technical aptitude is required.

Education & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology or related field required. 5 years direct professional services/consultation services sales experience. Experience working with an IT Service Company, Manufacturer, Reseller or, ISV selling to or supporting the Federal Government. Working knowledge of warranty, deployment, and integrated solutions for laptop, handheld, and tablet products.

Problem Solving :

Self-motivated, resilient, can-do attitude to overcome obstacles and find resolution in sometimes difficult conditions. Excellent judgment and be able to work in a challenging matrix management environment.

Communications :

Excellent communications skills both written and verbal required. Ability to converse, write, and present in a both persuasive and consultative sales manner. Strong team building, interpersonal and project management skills as well as presentation skills required.

Other Requirements :

● 75% travel

The salary range of $65,000 –$95,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package.

Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
