Learning & Development Leader

The Training, Learning and Development Resource is a critical role that provides the vision and strategy to drive learning and development best practices throughout the Kalrez organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing training and personal development throughout all areas of the organization including, but not limited to, manufacturing training and qualification, maintenance training, OSHA and other regulatory required training, and employee development.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop an overall vision and strategy for Learning and Development (L&D) by assessing the training management process, course offerings, and delivery methods and make upgrades to continuously improve for Kalrez Operations at Tralee Park and the new manufacturing plant on Ruthar Drive.

  • Build capability among SMEs for delivery of training, including facilitation techniques and creating learning documents including leading the Instructional Design/Training of Trainers (ID/TOT) course

  • Deliver training to site personnel

  • Consult with the Newark Manufacturing Hub and E&I business resources develop, own, and implement a vision and a roadmap to escalate capability building in their training organization

  • Ensure facilitative learning techniques based on adult learning principles are understood and applied to all development activities by all area resources (SME’s, Workplace trainers, OTJ, Supervision).

  • Liaise with and support O&E Communities of Practice and other stakeholders to monitor and serve competency needs (team building, learning, communication consulting & assistance, making appropriate connections).

  • Connect with learning leads via the Learning Council to coordinate and align standards and best practices

  • Work with plant leadership and SMEs to institute appropriate knowledge management practices/processes so that institutional knowledge is preserved and effectively disseminated.

  • Work collaboratively with business/function learning leaders to understand emerging business trends and to develop a corresponding training and competency development strategy

  • Work with O&E resources to transition appropriate O&E courses into the new enterprise Learning Management System, iLearn & integrate current content base on business needs and learning requirements.

  • Assist SMEs in creation of Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) content (e.g. Adobe Captivate) for iLearn integration.

  • Develop and maintain a site Training Standard and schedule

  • Develop metrics and KPI’s to keep key stakeholders updated to ensure and maintain alignment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Five or more years-experience in learning and development

  • Demonstrated ability to develop high quality learning and development materials

  • The ability to use advanced technological training methods such as simulations, video training, holographic, virtual reality, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability around different types and methodologies of training/adult learning principles

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver training including hands-on training for SMEs and site personnel

  • Strong performance assessment of individual being trained, problem solving, teaching and instructional skills

  • Ability to lead by influence

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills to establish and manage relationships across multiple sites, networks, and vendors

  • Demonstrated team leadership skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

  • Demonstrated program management skills

  • Experience working in Operations or Manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of e-Learning software, preferably iLearn

  • MS Office suite including PowerPoint

Low travel involved. Some travel between the Newark, DE sites and corporate offices in Wilmington, DE.

Position will be located at DuPont Tralee Park and Ruthar Drive locations (1 mile from each other)
