JPMorgan Chase Finance LEC - Recovery & Resolution VP in Newark, Delaware

We are looking for a Vice President to join our Asset Wealth Management's Resolution & Recovery team, a part of the broader Internal Control & Program Management team within the Asset Wealth Management Finance & Business Management organization. The successful candidate will be a holistic thinker, able to lead initiatives from start to finish, and possess an executive presence. This role involves supporting the Asset Wealth Management IC&PM Director and collaborating across various business areas to achieve results while finding solutions for clients and customers. The ideal candidate should be structured, adaptable, have superior analytical skills, and be an effective communicator in a matrixes environment.

As a Vice President of Finance - Recovery & Resolution within the Asset and Wealth Management Finance and Business Management organization, you will play a pivotal role in bolstering the Recovery and Resolution (R&R) program of the Asset and Wealth Management division. Your responsibilities will include interacting with various business lines and internal stakeholders, supervising team deliverables, and coordinating with the Corporate Recovery and Resolution Project Management Office, finance leads of different business lines, operations, and the Legal Entity Controller community to advance the R&R agenda. This role provides an opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders while supporting Asset Wealth Management's Recovery and Resolution (R&R) program. The Vice President will be a key member of the team, playing a leadership role in helping to oversee the team's deliverables, and liaising with the Corporate R&R PMO, line of business finance leads, operations and the Legal Entity Controller community to drive the R&R agenda.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote overall management team governance and priorities tracking

  • Communicate and partner with senior leadership and various internal stakeholders across the firm on various matters impacting the R&R program

  • Provide management with support for a complex reporting process to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of the R&R planning documentation for the lines of business, legal entities and in-scope critical operations

  • Promote process improvement to enhance reporting and gain efficiencies

  • Update and maintain documentation to support the individual plans and other appendix related information

  • Interact with line of business contacts in Finance and Business Management, Legal Entity Controllers, Control Management, Technology, Operations, Real Estate, Compliance, Legal and the Firm PMO team

  • Present plan updates to LOB Senior Management and the Firm PMO team

  • Document, maintain and update processes/procedures and ensure controls are in place and properly executed

  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior team members

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum of 8+ years finance/accounting/LEC/regulatory reporting/products - related experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to effectively collaborate within global teams and influencing key stakeholders

  • Experience managing projects that require strong analytical skills, problem-solving and critical thinking

  • Strategic thinker who can partner with diverse teams to drive efficiency and process enhancements

  • Executive presence: ability to summarize key concepts and articulate relevant issues to senior management

  • Work autonomously to affect change; flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

  • Self-motivated, strong initiative and superior work ethic; ability to thrive in a changing work environment

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to prepare executive level presentations

  • Superior attention to detail, ability to deep dive on processes/issues and improve controls/efficiencies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA a plus but not required

  • Knowledge of automated software such as Python, Tableau, Xceptor and/or Alteryx a plus
