Responsibilities:
The Member Advocate DSHP (Diamond State Health Plan) Bilingual works with Spanish-speaking and English-speaking members, providers, and case managers as requested by the member's case manager, the member, the provider, or referral from the AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware (ACDE) member services information line. They will assist members in obtaining care, including scheduling appointments and assisting members with the ACDE grievance and appeals process. They will also assist in Community Outreach events during weekend hours. The Member Advocate is responsible for maintaining complete records of all activities performed on behalf of the member and will participate in the Member Advisory Committee.
Education/ Experience:
High School/GED required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Bilingual Spanish language skills (required).
2+ years of experience in health care or medical field highly preferred;
Other Skills:
Experience working with low income populations preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in topics related to LTSS and Cultural Competency.
Knowledge of and experience with behavioral health, substance use disorders.
Travel throughout the state of Delaware is required.;
Support of additional departments and on going projects will be required for this role.;
