Position Summary:

The Director of Employee Relations is responsible for leading the employee relations function at Lifetime Assistance. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to foster a positive work environment, managing employee relations programs, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and addressing employee concerns. The Director of Employee Relations will work closely with HR leadership and other departments to promote a culture of fairness, respect, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Employee Relations Strategy:

o Develop and implement comprehensive employee relations strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.

o Create policies and programs that support a positive work environment and align with organizational goals.

· Conflict Resolution:

o Lead the resolution of employee conflicts and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.

o Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, including harassment, discrimination, and other workplace issues.

· Compliance:

o Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.

o Monitor and review employment practices and policies to ensure adherence to legal requirements and best practices.

· Performance Management:

o Support the development and implementation of performance management systems.

o Provide guidance to managers on performance issues and employee development plans.

· Training and Development:

o Design and deliver training programs on employee relations topics, including conflict resolution, performance management, and labor law compliance.

o Coach and mentor HR staff and managers throughout the agency on employee relations best practices.

· Employee Engagement:

o Work alongside Director of Employee Experience to enhance employee engagement and retention.

· Data Analysis and Reporting:

o Analyze employee relations data and trends to inform strategy and decision-making.

o Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on employee relations metrics and outcomes.

Qualifications:

· Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

o Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.

o SPHR or SHRM certification highly desirable.

· Experience:

o Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on employee relations.

o Proven track record of developing and implementing successful employee relations strategies.

o Experience in a leadership role within a medium to large organization.

· Skills:

o In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations.

o Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

o Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels.

o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

o Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software.
