Citigroup VP, Business Manager - Wealth Deposits in New York, New York
The Business Manager will report directly to the Business Execution Lead for the Wealth Deposits business. Deposits is a key part of the Wealth business, helping clients meet their banking and treasury management services needs across our global network. This role will be a critical leader within the Deposits Business Execution team and requires a strategic professional who can drive cross-functional projects and processes. This role requires excellent communication skills to guide, influence, and drive outcomes as well as experience managing key business management processes and projects.
Responsibilities:
Drive strategic projects globally from conception to completion based on the Deposit business’s key priorities. Partner directly with various groups within and outside of the Deposits team to analyze data and develop recommendations on high-priority strategic initiatives.
Drive communication strategy and cross-team collaboration through All-Hands calls, town halls, offsites, and other team engagements.
Develop strategy and drive ongoing execution of people and culture initiatives (e.g. VOE, CARE initiatives) for the Deposit team.
Lead ongoing simplification initiatives (i.e. report simplification, meeting and material standardization, business routine management, etc.).
Support annual goal setting process to ensure a cohesive strategy across the Deposits business and drive regular monitoring of progress against goals.
Manage overall project tracking for the Deposits business to ensure key priorities remain on track.
Structure ongoing team meetings to facilitate collaboration across teams within Deposits and the broader Wealth organization.
Support the development of materials for Quarterly Business Reviews and strategy/financial updates.
Manage ad-hoc requests from the central teams, functional partners, and the Head of Wealth Deposits and Balance Sheet.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience in financial services
Extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter
Strategically minded with track record of execution excellence
Knowledge of key business management activities including headcount management, budgeting and financial acumen
Hands-on orientation with the demonstrated ability to set up internal processes to communicate and resolve issues
A critical and analytical thinker
Ability to prioritize work and manage many tasks at once
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
Passion for people and culture-related work
Excellent communication skills required in order to communicate complex messages succinctly and influence a range of audiences
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well within a team
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
