Job Duties: Own and develop existing insurance relationships to drive new business and product development by delivering BlackRock as a Platform. Set the account plan and be responsible for commercial objectives for accounts and support plan implementation on other accounts. Utilize knowledge of insurance investing to initiate and craft client specific solutions by leveraging BlackRock’s unparalleled products and services across investment management, technology and advisory. Responsible for solutions implementation, including working with internal stakeholders on account setup, guideline development, establishing service needs and the client experience. Lead day-to-day delivery of BlackRock’s asset management and associated services to Global, US and Bermuda based external insurance clients. Cultivate awareness of client specific investment and operational priorities and sensitivities. Anticipate client needs and provide accurate and timely client reporting in preparation for client portfolio and market reviews. Utilize BlackRock’s proprietary Aladdin software to deliver ad-hoc data and analytics requests. Design, own and deliver complex client requests utilizing Aladdin software and manage portfolio compliance to client guidelines. Deploy expertise in our clients’ insurance industry dynamics and trends as well as their specific investment needs. Have understanding of insurance specific product and services, including insurance product structuring and how it aligns to client needs. Deepen and broaden a fundamental understanding of insurance investing and stay abreast of insurance investment, regulatory and accounting trends.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Analyst or related OR Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Analyst or related. FINRA Series 7 and FINRA Series 63 certifications are required. Must have experience with the following: insurance investing (US, Europe, Bermuda); fixed income, equity and alternative markets and instruments; Microsoft Office; S&P market intelligence and Bloomberg; and Aladdin or similar investment management software.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $145,400 - $194,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
