Role Summary Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Securities Central Risk Team (CRT) is looking for a Vice President to join the Non-Financial Risk Group 1st Line of Defense function, to focus on the execution and governance of multiple cross-divisional activities within the Operational Risk space.

Primary Responsibilities • Work with CRT team to identify risks, define controls, and assess effectiveness of the ISG control environment • Act as the primary interface with key ISG business partners and provide regular updates on the status of the risk and controls framework execution • Ability to analyze a process and recommend ways to improve quality, controls, and efficiency • Work with management and team leads across global ISG business unit functions to assess, measure and resolve risk issues as appropriate • Support the identification, operationalization and monitoring of key non-financial risk metrics/management indicators, including delivery of management reporting • Provide expert support and advice to the business on risk identification and risk mitigation for identified and future risks • Support continuous growth of the ISG NFR central framework through risk review, lessons learned, and changes in the non-financial risk landscape • Facilitate cross functional teams to support new initiatives and drive discussions on control design and/or issue remediation to ensure corresponding actions will be effectively remediated and evidenced

Critical Success Factors: • Strategic thinker with experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups, including senior Firm and Business Unit management • Self-confident leader possessing a collaborative and participatory management style and strong work ethic • Experience with meeting critical deadlines, as well as tracking and driving execution • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and advance multiple priorities in a fast-changing environment • A skilled communicator, both written and verbal, with an ability to influence others at all levels • Strong attention to detail and organization skills • Assessment, process, and control-oriented mindset • Professionalism, sensitivity, sound judgment and discretion • Familiarity with risk-management best practices and controls

Qualifications: • 7 years of related work experience in risk management functions or related roles • Understanding of and familiarity with financial services industry (knowledge of sales and trading, audit, compliance or regulatory processes preferred) • Bachelor’s degree required

/Expected base pay rate for the role will be between $145,000 and $250,000 for Vice President, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages,/ /and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs./
