Citigroup Technology Lead Business Analyst - C13 - NEW YORK in New York, New York

The Technology Lead Business Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders

  • Manage multiple work stream and applications across geographies for Credit Initiation and Onboarding

  • Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives

  • Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers

  • Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources

  • Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring of onsite and offsite resources and other duties and functions as assigned

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of related experience needed

  • Knowledge and understanding of Capital Market , Liquidity Risk Management and regulatory impact including but not restricted - LCR, FR 2052a, RLAP, etc.

  • Proficiency in creating, clarifying, and updating Business requirement , Functional specification documents.

  • Excellent liaison, communication (verbal and written), conflict resolution, change management , document and report writing skills.

  • Provides expertise in area and a strong level of understanding of the principles of IT project management and delivery. Strong Understanding of the SDLC , familiarity with Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodology.

  • Strong understanding of liquidity risk management and reporting, enabling the individual to understand complex and interconnected business requirements so to play a role in the ongoing management & coordination of execution plans.

  • Demonstrable and comprehensive experience in stakeholder management involving stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Manage and collaborate with users to review User Acceptance Testing outcome and successfully obtain sign off.

  • Experience working in ETL Projects, with multiple upstream and downstream systems defining the mapping requirement for implementation.

  • Aptitude to understand technology architecture and work with various partners for configuring strategically aligned solutions.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office ( Excel , Word , Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Tableau and Python.

  • Known-how of SQL is must to understand data mapping across source and target systems.

  • Understanding of data governance, reference data, and data capabilities needed for a robust data program in support of business objectives.

  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence , and wiki.

  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement change.

  • Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.

Must have skills:

  • Working knowledge of Capital Markets, Banking Risk, Stress Testing and extensive Derivative Product understanding

  • SQL - Advanced

  • MS Excel, Visio, Word- Advanced

  • Tableau- Intermediate

  • Data Analysis - Advanced

Nice to have skills:

  • Python

  • Big Data, Hadoop

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
