Mizuho Americas Services LLC Technology Business Manager - Cyber in New York, New York

Join the Mizuho team as a Technology Business Manager!

The Technology Business Manager will be the trusted advisor to a senior technologist, helping to optimize their organization focused on workforce management, vendor management, financial reporting, portfolio governance and overall organizational oversight. You will also partner with other technology business managers to streamline processes and share best practices to better enable the technology organization. This role will be to support the Cyber Security Technology Organization.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight: The TBM will partner closely with the Finance department to manage budgets and update forecasts of the overall expense footprint including headcount, future hires, attrition, and vendor spend.
  • Headcount Management: The TBM is responsible for the headcount planning and allocation for the IT function, based on the business needs and the IT strategy. The TBM monitors and reports on the headcount status, identifies gaps and risks, and proposes solutions and actions to optimize the IT workforce.
  • Recruiting Management and Strategy for IT: The TBM is responsible for the recruiting strategy and process for the IT function, in collaboration with the HR department. The TBM defines the hiring criteria and standards, ensures that the teams source and select the best candidates, and ensures a smooth and positive onboarding experience for the new hires.
  • Portfolio Governance: The TBM will oversee budget, maintain resource allocations and other expenses across technology projects and initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between IT, business units and functional partners to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of technology initiatives with business needs
  • Communication: The TBM will provide support to senior leadership in setting agendas for staff meetings, organizational communication, and town hall meetings.


Qualifications
  • Education: A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in business management or finance, with a proven track record of supporting a Cyber Security technology organization, being a change agent for transformation and organizational efficiency while providing financial oversight in the organization
  • Skills: TBM should have strong skills in the following areas:

The expected base salary ranges from $160k- $200k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
