The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The candidate will work with the Department of Neurology/Taub Institute on clinical studies involving patients with Alzheimer's disease, related disorders, and healthy volunteers. The Technician B will be assisting other lab members in conducting research participant visits, scheduling MRI and PET scans, organizing research visit data, and ensuring the appropriate reporting to regulatory boards such as the Institutional Review Board and the Food and Drug Administration. In addition, the candidate will be trained to process PET and MR images and will be assisting research staff in processing data for the lab studies. Responsibilities

* Assist in preparing IRB and FDA submissions.
* Schedule all aspects of participant visits following procedure protocols.
* Conduct visits with research participants in a professional and kind manner.
* Assisting in data collection and input into computerized databases.
* Assisting with basic analysis and statistics.
* Performing standardized tests on research participants.
* Eliciting information from participants in accordance with a structured interview.
* Providing quality control for data.
* Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

* Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Verbal and written fluency in English.
* Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience and/or interest in the field of neuroscience clinical research.
* Enthusiastic and motivated.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to perform meticulous record keeping.
* Excellent communication and writing skills.
* Ability to work as a member of a team and independently.
