Job Description

Supervisor | Operating Room Support Services | Main Campus

Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday with potential weekend coverage

Our team is looking for our next outstanding Supervisor, who will be responsible for the management of Periop support personnel, patient flow activities, supply replenishment, equipment delivery, inventory tasks, and sanitation activities in addition to promoting teamwork with nursing and surgical personnel to provide efficient, safe, quality service.

    You Will:

  • Supervise clinical support, supply management, equipment management, infrastructure upkeep, and room turnover sanitation activities.

  • Work collaboratively with nursing and surgical staff to promote the delivery of efficient, safe, and quality service.

  • Prepare all staff assignment that efficiently matches the needs of the surgical workload. Individual must demonstrate the ability to forecast changes on a routine basis and make appropriate changes as need.

  • Coordinates recruitment of support personnel and participates in their orientation to the department.

  • Meets and evaluates performance progress of new and existing staff through different metrics and training plans.

  • Maintain a flexible work schedule in order to help provide assistance on day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts as needed.

  • Recommends and implement collaborative changes of work practices contingent on quality, new technology and clinical processes.

  • Maintain all staff records to align with regulatory standard.

  • Work within the department budget and monitor variances on expenditure and personnel on a monthly basis.

  • Conducts ongoing training of staff on a bi-weekly basis.

  • Conducts and is involved with projects with clinical staff to foster standard processes.

    You Need:

  • A minimum of four years of related peri-operative experience.

  • Completed audits for payroll including reports and timesheets.

  • Understanding of performance management techniques appropriate to person, job role and behavioral requirements to develop and sustain workload, as well as, managing change in a highly dynamic environment.

  • Communication skills that foster timely and clear feedback to staff and support their performance

  • Manage the working environment to promote efficiency and motivation

$60,000.00-$93,100.00
