  • Hours Per Week: 12 hours/week (January 2025-June 2025), 6 hours/week July 2025-June 2026 (Breaks: Week of July 4th, 2025, August 2025, Last week of December 2025)
  • Salary Range: $24.00 - $24.00
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine, Programs in Occupational Therapy, is is seeking a Student Research Worker to work with the PI and research assistants to organize laboratory material related to behavioral research.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with the community and research partners.
  • Organize meetings, minutes, reports, and executive summaries
  • Organize participant recruitment.
  • Research coding (qualitative and quantitative methods): Experience with mixed methods research designs will be preferred
  • Conduct literature searches.
  • Enter data in databases.
  • Format manuscript for various editorial systems.
  • Perform other duties as required/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social sciences, data science or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Current student enrolled at Columbia University.
  • Current student at the Mailman School of Public Health (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, taking initiative and demonstrating organizational skills.
  • Previous experience working in a research laboratory setting is desirable.
