Staff Product Designer, Consumer, DoorDash, Inc., New York, NY. Drive the user experience vision, strategy, and execution for the Consumer Marketplace Discovery team which is responsible for building a reliable, scalable discovery, ordering, and delivery platform that integrates all our consumer products into a cohesive customer experience, and easily scales for new vertical products and regions as well. Use knowledge of visual and interaction design, rapid wireframing, prototyping, and competitive analysis to create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals. Deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities, skillfully balancing strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design to build high-quality product improvements. Plan and execute usability testing and experiment-driven product development research to inform designs with data and tie user problems and needs to business impacts. Own the user experience of products from end-to-end, including contributing to product strategy, planning and executing design critiques, retrospectives, and workshops, and running design sprints. Highly adept at facilitation, negotiation, conflict negotiation, political navigation and rigorous decision-making; often made use of during challenging situations. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and more to design, develop, and implement visually appealing and user-friendly solutions to attract and retain customers. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, UX/UI Design, Graphic Design, or related field of study plus (5) years of experience in a Product design, UI/UX design role or related occupation.
