Lead the Studio’s Tech Steering Group, which acts as a communication link between the team and Spotify’s Technical Architecture Group to drive engineering best practices and company-wide initiatives. Lead and coach team members in the hiring processes and foster healthy, inclusive team culture. Maintains deep technical knowledge and broad understanding of technology to drive large, complex architectural decisions. Up levels teams and individuals to grow and scale future leaders in the organization. Represents engineering on the internal committee to set the standards for promotion for senior software engineers at Spotify. Evangelize good practices both on and off the team (testing, maintainability, reducing duplication, etc.). Works with senior engineering leaders in the organization to drive long-term, cross-organization initiatives and studio level community efforts. Takes a technical leadership role on larger cross-team efforts. Leads large, complex, high impact initiatives for end-to-end execution and delivery. Represents engineering in cross-functional leadership teams, working closely with business, product, design and insights counterparts. Ensures high quality launch of initiatives, leading and growing a team of engineers on solution architecture and long term sustainability. Works across studios to ensure a high level of efficient collaboration for larger, cross-cutting initiatives. Build systems of high complexity with clear, maintainable, testable designs. Train team members to adhere to standard best practices for building mobile, web, backend, data and machine learning components.
