The Technology Sourcing and Infrastructure (TSI) team at Amazon is seeking an exceptional Sr. Systems Engineer. As part of this forward-thinking group, you'll have the unique opportunity to drive transformative change and unlock new levels of efficiency across the organization.

Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a significant and autonomous contributor, consistently delivering high-quality work by leveraging technology to solve complex problems, seeking guidance from team members as needed.
• Capable of taking on projects with undefined implementation, delivering on schedule by applying engineering best practices.
• Identify when systems lack key qualities such as high availability, performance, security, stability, instrumentation, and maintainability, and propose effective mitigations.
• Actively contribute to team design, scoping, and prioritization discussions, driving continuous improvement.
• Understand the business context and technologies behind team implementations, building strong relationships with customers and partner teams.
• Identify patterns affecting organization performance, reliability, or availability, and create automation to simplify and scale operations.
• Demonstrate expertise in Process Mapping & Analysis, with the capability to analyze existing business processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose automation opportunities.
• Possess familiarity with Business Process Management (BPM) tools and methodologies to map and optimize workflows before automation.
• Expertise in the end-to-end lifecycle of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions, including process discovery, design, development, testing, and deployment. Demonstrate strong skills in handling structured and unstructured data.
• Ability to create scripts for automation processes, including data parsing and manipulation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, supply chain, and product development teams to holistically optimize the sourcing process, ensuring alignment on technical requirements and delivering cohesive solutions.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred).
5 years of hands-on experience leading automation initiatives, ideally in a technology or engineering-focused organization.
5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated workflows, processes, and systems.
5 years of experience of driving process improvements and automation initiatives.
5 years of experience with project management methodologies, business analysis, and process improvement techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and passion for operational excellence, a drive for continuous improvement, and a keen eye for identifying automation opportunities.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks. Proficiency in scripting languages, data visualization tools, and project management software
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge multiple disciplines and champion innovative solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $248,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
