Bloomberg LP Solution Engineer in New York, New York

Position Duties: Provide technical development guidance, leadership and structure to Enterprise Data clients. Work closely with technical and market data contacts at client firms to understand their requirements and help them to build out solutions using Bloomberg’s Enterprise Data Technology such as BLP API and Data License REST API. Administer training to clients for coding toour API during the pre-sale, implementation and adoption phases of an engagement. Take ownership of complex questions and issues reported by clients as a second tier of technical support via phone calls, ticket systems, email, and in person. Understand big picture roadmaps and strategies to achieve long term goals such as Digital Transformation, RPA and Cloud adoption. Cultivate deep technical partnerships with key members of the client development community around Bloomberg's data delivery mechanisms. Collaborate with peers, Sales, Technical Account Managers and Service Delivery teams to drive critical client on-boarding initiatives, technology partnerships and highly technical projects. Proactively identify ideas to help drive stronger product performance and implement those ideas from start to finish. Actively identify potential areas of improvement or gaps in internal tools and monitoring systems and propose solutions. Build strong stakeholder relationships with clients, engineering, and product development teams to resolve issues or build out enhancements.Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or Solution Engineer, or Data Scientist or related. Must have six (6) months of experience in each of the following skills: Client facing experience; Development and implementation of Real Time Market Data or retail/ecommerce data applications and related API’s; Writing readable sample code or production code; Python; R and Web App creation; Big Data, Data Science and Public Cloud technologies; UNIX or Windows.Rate of pay: $180,000 - $210,000 / year

Minimum Salary: 180,000 Maximum Salary: 210,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
