Meta Software Engineering Manager - FAIR in New York, New York

Summary:

Meta is seeking Software Engineering Managers to join its Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) organization. We are focused on building the next-generation compute and storage infrastructure for AI research and improving the efficiency in the full stack to accelerate advances in machine intelligence. We seek Software Engineering Managers with relevant expertise to join our software engineering team in this exciting journey.

Software Engineering Manager - FAIR Responsibilities:

  1. Be both highly technical and an effective people manager

  2. Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization

  3. Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with cross functions and research teams to accelerate research

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of software engineering work experience, including technical management

  2. 3+ years of experience in distributed systems, storage systems, or cache and data distribution infrastructure.

  3. 2+ years managing managers, 5+ years managing technical teams

  4. Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management

  5. BA/BS in Computer Science or related field

  6. Coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Python and/or PHP

  1. Experience in the field of high-performance computing or AI compute stack (GPUs, storage, network)

  2. Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field

Public Compensation:

$213,000/year to $293,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
