The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Manager to drive and develop the Learning agenda within these skills-based communities in the Skills Networks Learning Account to upskill and reskill approximately 18000 experts to excel in their professional practice and support our strategy and plans. You will shape the Learning strategy for the Skills Networks and for evaluating and developing transformational Learning that is innovative and impactful to fully enable our members to deliver technical excellence in everything they do.

Each Skills Network is accountable for developing capability and building deep expertise in their membership aligned to a Skills Transformation Plan.

You will partner with the Skills Faculty within the group, to identify and co-create with the 58 Global Skills Leaders learning needs and solutions that drive up standards of excellence; dealing with the unique needs of multiple cohort types from Graduate to Director when formulating world class solutions.

The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of learning trends, technologies and innovative learning and have experience in change management trajectories in large matrix organisations.

Working within Arup University Group, 95+ interdisciplinary experts who form the five Faculties in Arup University. This is a role with a significant opportunity to help shape Arup’s standards of excellence, and engage widely with our membership, and report directly to the Learning Faculty director and will own the quality and the success of all Learning solutions delivered through their account.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

  • Have developed and implemented a strategic plan for skills-based learning programs.

  • Have a proven background in technical learning, especially in engineering and design-focused domains, showcasing the ability to understand and cater to the unique learning needs of these areas.

  • Can engage effectively with global skills network Leaders, business directors, and the broader learning faculty.

  • Have a data-driven approach to the design and implementation of Learning solutions, with a focus on applying innovative methodologies to measure the success and impact of the Learning.

  • Can guide and manage project teams, including a hands-on approach, to ensure the operational aspects of skills network learning are effectively handled.

The role is based in our London Office three days a week, and two days working from home.
