TITLE: Senior Software EngineerDUTIES: Clarify requirements and design solutions for new features in Billing and Payments systems. Integrate Billing and Payments systems with external partners and expand flexibility of billing models supported. Utilize modern tech stacks (Kube8, distributed clusters) to migrate Billing and Payments systems to containerized hosting to improve scalability. Embed proven security frameworks into Billing and Payments systems to facilitate high risk protection measures for customer billing workflows. Continuously monitor and react to abnormalities in revenue volumes, ensure proper auditing is in place. Serve as an owner for automation across all workflows in Billing and Payments systems, establish best practices and work across org to embed them even outside of Billing and Payments systems. Maintain and support existing functionality in Payments services. Support customers and internal teams with adhoc requests to satisfy corrections in billing and charging of customers for Atlas services. Mentor junior engineers and help develop their careers by serving as a role model and leading by example while working on the Billing and Payments systems. Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the related role or job offered.Experience and/or education must include: 1.Java programming in developing multi-tier, high-performance, distributed software application frameworks collaboratively with peers and technical leaders;2.Experience with Java programming in developing, supporting, and integrating various mid-level and high-level software application frameworks;3.Knowledge and experience of applying cloud-based frameworks for build distributed solutions;4.Understanding of scalability aspects of building highly distributed software services;5.Unit and integration testing for new features and bug fixes; and6.Experience with dynamic, web-based development concepts, including MVC concepts, JavaScript, and TypeScript.OTHER: Job Site: 1633 Broadway 38th floor, New York, NY 10019; Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.; 40 hours/week; $191,100/year - $196,100/year.
