The Role
The Trading Systems Product Manager for the Private Wealth Platform is a critical role that bridges the gap between business stakeholders and the technology development team. This individual is responsible for driving the strategic vision, enhancements, and operational efficiency of the trading platform (e.g., Charles River), ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the Private Wealth Management division. The role requires a combination of technical acumen, product management expertise, and deep knowledge of trading workflows to deliver scalable and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
You will work as part of an agile team participating in analysis, design, development & implementation of applications, systems and processes that address business needs & are aligned to a multi-year roadmap. These applications are designed and tailored to support Private Wealth Portfolio Managers in managing client portfolios more effectively, improving productivity, decision-making, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, create, and optimize workflows within the Private Wealth Trading Platform, Charles River, with a focus on enhancing trading processes and system efficiency.
Manage the product backlog for Charles River and its integration with confirmation, affirmation, and trade execution platforms, prioritizing features based on business needs and stakeholder input.
Collaborate with Private Wealth Portfolio Managers, Traders, and other business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Ensure the development and delivery of features or updates are in line with the roadmap's timelines, milestones, and objectives.
Provide functional and technical support for system upgrades and enhancements, including testing, troubleshooting, and coordination with IT and external vendors.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
Develop and deliver user training sessions and comprehensive documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and effective platform usage.
Act as a liaison between business units and IT, facilitating clear communication and the successful delivery of scalable trading solutions.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by contributing to retrospectives and incorporating feedback into future workflows and processes.
Manage ad hoc projects related to the trading platforms, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with business objectives, and effective resource utilization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, product management, or a related role within the financial services industry.
5+ experience with Charles River IMS (v21R1+ preferred) including configuration, implementation, or support
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Knowledge of investment management processes, including portfolio construction, trading workflows, and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with the regulatory environment surrounding the asset management business.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Charles River Development (CRD) SaaS migration activities is preferred
Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing data, with experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, Python, or R.
Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
Certifications such as CFA, FRM, PMP, or Scrum Master are a plus.
Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or trading system integrations (e.g., FIX protocol) is a plus.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $140,000-$170,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
