The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They create seamless user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also focused on building innovative and cutting-edge capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney’s streaming and digital products.

Job Summary

The Commerce platform has experienced tremendous growth - supporting over 80 countries and 20+ currencies while processing billions of dollars of transactions annually! We are looking for a product leader who will handle critical internal tooling that enables all of our offerings and pricing globally. From our ad supported tiering model to our highly valuable bundles across a multitude of surface areas, our product catalog is the central engine for how we sell, where we sell, when we sell, and at what price point we sell our services to our users. A senior product manager working on this integral tool will have the opportunity to collaborate across our organization on some of the biggest commerce initiatives that we have planned over the coming years.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the offer and pricing internal tooling

  • Provide domain expertise and leadership for offer and pricing products, features, and functionality to serve business and customer needs

  • Support business operations teams to manage and maintain our product catalog, including configuration requirements for new products, features, and initiatives

  • Work cross functionally with members of the product, legal, data & analytics, design, business, and engineering teams to identify requirements for new features

  • Maintain all necessary JIRA tasks, boards and detailed documentation across teams, as well as all necessary communication to internal stakeholders

  • Translate inputs and business needs into detailed product requirements documents and user stories for engineering teams to execute

  • Develop a product roadmap that accomplishes business/customer goals and aligns with the team charter

Basic Qualifications

  • You have at least 7 years of product management experience

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • You have experience using JIRA and other product and project management tools

  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills

  • You're an analytical problem solver

  • You have an ability to make quick decisions to solve complex technical and operational challenges

  • You're familiar with working on projects with distributed teams, making use of technology and process to overcome the challenges of working with remote staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or technical degree preferred

  • You have experience working on a subscription product

  • You have experience working with an internationally distributed digital product

  • You excel at coordinating multiple projects at a time

  • You enjoy developing thoughtful and concise requirements through memos and user stories. You take pride that your name is attached to these artifacts

  • You build relationships that help drive consensus across the organization when trying to accomplish larger goals

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY and Seattle, WA is $156,300 to $209,600 per year and in California is $149,300-$219,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
