Job Summary: The data/telecom, AV & security senior estimator will assist the company in meeting its objectives and goals by preparing accurate and timely budgets and estimates for assigned commercial telecommunications, low voltage, AV, security, sound masking, voice and data communications projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare quantity take-offs of low voltage, sound masking, AV and security systems.

• Prepare detailed estimates including assigning material and labor values to take-offs.

• Acquire vendor pricing on specialty materials, equipment and systems.

• Partner with other estimators and team members to ensure a complete scope of work is defined and pricing review.

• Evaluate and assist with subcontractor and vendor scope and pricing review.

• Prepare scope letters and proposals.

• Prepare and manage communications internally and with general contractors or construction managers for assigned projects.

• Participate in walk-throughs, project kick-off and turn-over meetings.

• Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established.

• Regular, predictable and reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job.

Qualifications:

• At least ten (10+) years experience in estimating electrical power, lighting and low voltage electrical systems.

• Must possess a thorough understanding of electrical design documents in various stages of design completion.

• Must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment and independently.

• Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation Range: $120,000 - $160,000
