Amazon Senior CSM-T, Prototyping and Customer Engineering (PACE) in New York, New York

Description

Do you have a builder’s mentality where “show me” means more than “tell me”? Are you passionate about leveraging technology at a global scale and quick to pick up emerging technologies? Are you adept at working with customers to experiment with innovative approaches and then validate the technical feasibility of solutions?

As trusted customer advocates, the Prototyping and Customer Engineering (PACE) team helps customers in creating the early iterations of next generation products and solutions, often exploring new technical grounds. The team is looking for experienced and motivated technology leaders who possess a unique balance of technical depth, delivery management, and strong interpersonal skills.

We are looking for a Senior Customer Solutions Manager with a Technical focus to organize and lead high-impact, short term (2-month), engagements that require coordination among our development teams, broader Amazon teams and customer’s stakeholders. This includes taking an active part in qualifying investment requests, defining scope, planning and coordination of project delivery. These projects include new product types, compete situations and often exploring the art of the possible.

You will need a strong understanding cloud technology as well as an ability to pull people together from various teams and functional groups, using lightweight and efficient processes and communication mechanisms, in order to meet ambitious plans, and have fun doing it.

If you're looking for a chance to work with a highly-motivated team to help build and launch software systems that customers love; if you're an expert software process practitioner, with a gritty, start-up mentality; if you wear t-shirts, or at least appreciate those who do - we have a job for you. Join us!

A day in the life

While on a customer prototype engagement, you will work collaboratively with other CSM-Ts, developers and specialists to deliver results. The small team working on the prototype will change from project to project based on availability, specialized skills required and career growth interests. Team members come from across the US and EMEA. Larger team meetings occur periodically to share knowledge and get updates on goals, etc.
